An Insightful Session on India’s Artistic Heritage by Prof. Benoy K. Behl

Salwan Public School hosted internationally renowned art historian, filmmaker, and photographer Prof. Benoy K. Behl for an enlightening session on India’s visual and cultural heritage.

Prof. Behl engaged students with rare photographic archives, compelling narratives from his travels across Asia, and insights from his ground breaking documentation of the Ajanta murals, Buddhist heritage sites, and ancient Indian art traditions. He also shed light on the deep cultural linkages between India and Japan, reflected through shared symbols, linguistic echoes, and spiritual practices.

The interactive Q&A session further ignited students’ curiosity, offering fresh perspectives on art, culture, filmmaking, and heritage research.
