At Salwan, the endeavour is to provide an inclusive and an enabling environment to all children with varied needs. We firmly believe that each and every child has the ability to learn and maximize his/her potential through adequate learning opportunities, effective teaching and appropriate resources.
Salwan Public School hosted internationally renowned art historian, filmmaker, and photographer Prof. Benoy K. Behl for an enlightening session on India’s visual and cultural heritage.
Prof. Behl engaged students with rare photographic archives, compelling narratives from his travels across Asia, and insights from his ground breaking documentation of the Ajanta murals, Buddhist heritage sites, and ancient Indian art traditions. He also shed light on the deep cultural linkages between India and Japan, reflected through shared symbols, linguistic echoes, and spiritual practices.
The interactive Q&A session further ignited students’ curiosity, offering fresh perspectives on art, culture, filmmaking, and heritage research.
The session was a good learning experience, offering students a rare opportunity to learn from one of India’s most respected cultural ambassadors.
