CBSE CPD on Promoting Mental Health and Wellness Awareness

A Capacity Building Programme on Promoting Mental Health and Wellness Awareness among Students was organised by CBSE on February 7, 2026 at N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Rohini. The workshop was attended by SPS RN faculty Ms. Rekha Goel, Ms. Rajni Piplani, Ms. Shruti Khullar, Ms. Sangeeta Walecha and Ms. Mukta Taploo.

The programme focused on enhancing teachers’ understanding of student well-being and the importance of mental health in schools. The first session, led by Ms. Dimpy Sainy (PGT-Economics), highlighted factors affecting students’ mental health and the need for a positive – school environment. The second session by Ms. Aminder Kaur. PGT-Psychology – St. Margaret School, emphasised early identification of mental health concerns and the teacher’s role in providing timely support. Subsequent sessions highlighted the importance of support services and school-based mental health programmes.

Through discussions and case studies, participants gained insights into recognising early signs, implementing classroom strategies, and fostering a safe, supportive learning environment for students.
