CBSE OSM Webinar: Strengthening Assessment Practices

The PGTs of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, attended the CBSE OSM (On-Screen Marking) webinar on 13 February, 2026, that focused on the 2026 board evaluation framework for Class XII, It was conducted by the Board. The session focused on the activation of the OSM Monitoring Portal and emphasised the mandatory completion of mock evaluations by all teacher teaching Classes XI and XII.

The webinar was conducted by Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination, CBSE. It provided an overview of On-Screen Marking system being introduced this year, where answer sheets will be scanned and evaluated digitally to improve accuracy and transparency, eliminate totalling errors, and speed up results. The importance of familiarising teachers with digital assessment tools was highlighted to maintain uniformity and fairness in marking board examination answer scripts.

The training session also addressed common challenges faced during on-screen evaluation and shared best practices to enhance efficiency and precision. Teachers were guided on adhering to marking schemes, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting stipulated timelines.

The participation of the PGTs reflects the school’s commitment to upholding CBSE guidelines and continuously upgrading assessment competencies, thereby ensuring a robust and reliable evaluation system for students.
