Celebrating the Magic of Pi

The Mathematics Department organised a special assembly in the School Amphitheatre to celebrate Pi Approximation Day on 21st July 2025, observed annually on 22nd July. The event aimed to highlight the beauty and importance of the mathematical constant π (Pi) through a blend of creativity and intellect.

The assembly began with a soulful Mathematical Prayer by the students of Class VIII, followed by a motivational thought that encouraged students to embrace the power of logical thinking. A brief segment on Mathematical News showcased recent developments related to Pi, keeping the audience updated and engaged. The poetic side of mathematics was brought alive through a beautifully recited original composition titled “Ode to Pi.”

Adding a creative flair to the programme, a Pi-themed dance performance mesmerised the audience, demonstrating how mathematics can be both expressive and artistic.

The event concluded with the felicitation of the International Mathematics Olympiad achievers. The Principal and the Head of the Mathematics Department awarded medals to students who had excelled at the international level, celebrating their dedication and achievements.

This joyful and enriching celebration left students inspired by the elegance, depth, and creativity that mathematics offers.
