Investiture Ceremony 2025

The Investiture Ceremony 2025, held on 18th July at Salwan Public School, was a celebration of leadership, service, and responsibility. The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with a soulful prayer by the school choir and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished guests. Major General (Retd.) Sa
njeev Shukla, Director, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests comprising alumni and members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). In his address, he spoke about the importance of embracing change and highlighted the evolving role of the student council as a bridge between students and teachers, emphasising the need to address challenges such as cyberbullying and digital well-being.
The ceremony honoured the eminent guests who graced the occasion. Dr. Geeta Bhatt, Director of NCWEB, University of Delhi, was felicitated by Principal Ms Priyanka Barara for her remarkable contributions to education, gender equity, and public policy. Dr. Ridhima Seth, ADCP, SPUWAC, was warmly welcomed by the Principal, and appreciated for her exemplary service as an IPS officer and her unwavering dedication to women’s empowerment, safety, and community welfare. Mr. Vasu Manchanda, a distinguished alumnus from the 2014–15 batch and a legal professional, was felicitated by Vice Principal Ms Jyotsna Grover for his achievements and his embodiment of the Salwanian spirit.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of PTA members: Mr. Chandra Shekhar Chekondra, an experienced motivational speaker and life coach; Dr. Kumodini Venkatesh, City Head at AddressHealth, a pioneer in pediatric school-based healthcare; Mr. Dhiraj Mullick, a 2004 alumnus and senior manager at Hero Future Energies; and Mr. Balvinder Singh Chauhan, Director of Glaziers India, known for his advocacy for safe and positive learning environments
The outgoing student council, represented by Aarav Gupta and Hargun Singh, presented a reflective account of their journey through ‘Milestones that Shaped Us’, followed by a graceful classical dance performance celebrating patriotism and unity.
The highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of badges upon the newly elected student council. Dr. Geeta Bhatt and Mr. Vasu Manchanda adorned the Central Council members and House leaders. The outgoing Head Boy, Dev Sharma, passed the school flag to Head Boy Soumil Rana and Head Girl Saanvi V. Ghatke, after which the oath was administered by outgoing Head Girl, Mansi Chaudhary. In their first address, the new Head Boy and Head Girl pledged to lead with empathy, foster innovation, and uphold the school motto ‘Service Before Self’.
Dr. Geeta Bhatt and Mr. Vasu Manchanda shared powerful messages on leadership, humility, and nation-building through education. In the valedictory address, Principal Ms Priyanka applauded the outgoing council and assured unwavering support to the new leaders. The event concluded with the national anthem, instilling pride and purpose in every heart.
