Workshop on Water Conservation and Plastic Waste Management

Ten enthusiastic students of Class IX attended an awareness Workshop on Water Conservation and Plastic Waste Management, held on Thursday, 27th November 2025, at Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi. The workshop was conducted under the Environment Education Programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.

With over 80 participants from nine schools across Delhi, the event gave an opportunity to students to explore how their daily actions can shape the planet’s future. They took part in interactive discussions, real-life demonstrations, and thought-provoking activities that highlighted the urgent need to save water, reduce single-use plastics, and follow the 6Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, Refuse, and Repair.

The workshop encouraged students to pause, reflect, and recognise that every choice—whether turning off a tap, carrying a cloth bag, or segregating waste—creates a ripple of positive change. They also gained valuable insights into plastic waste management, including the dangers of single-use plastics and practical alternatives for sustainable living.

Empowered with knowledge and inspired by purpose, our students returned as eco-champions, ready to influence their homes, school, and community with greener habits and responsible actions. Their learning stands as a reminder that one mindful step can sustain many lives and protect our shared future.
