At Salwan, the endeavour is to provide an inclusive and an enabling environment to all children with varied needs. We firmly believe that each and every child has the ability to learn and maximize his/her potential through adequate learning opportunities, effective teaching and appropriate resources.
The Department of Social Science commemorated World Heritage Day on 18th April, 2023 by conducting a plethora of activities. The day commenced with a Special Assembly to cherish and revisit the rich cultural legacy of our nation. Besides a theme-based thought and a talk on the significance of the Heritage Day, the Middle School students performed a group song, and the Senior students performed a Nukkad Natak to sensitise the student fraternity about the need to conserve our heritage.
The Class VII students were taken for a visit to Qutub Minar complex after the assembly. The students appreciated the soaring conical tower, an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture. Students were also involved in Heritage quiz competitions organised by Salwan Schools and Bengal Chambers of Commerce.
