Delhi World Book Fair 2026

Salwan Public School organised an educational visit to the Delhi World Book Fair at Bharat Mandapam on 16 January 2026 for a group of twelve enthusiastic student readers, accompanied by the school librarians and Vice Principal Ms Jyotsna Grover. The fair’s theme, ‘Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @75,’ offered a meaningful learning experience filled with knowledge, inspiration, and joy.

Students explored various pavilions highlighting military history, international literature, authors’ corners, and digital initiatives such as Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya. The Children’s Pavilion particularly captivated them with books on courage and wisdom, along with an engaging storytelling session on heroic journeys. A wide range of books, from children’s classics and folk tales to regional literature, educational texts, and emerging works on artificial intelligence, were available.

Students also participated in a quiz on enlightenment and military milestones, and won books as prizes. They also had the opportunity to interact with renowned author Swati Munjal of the book ‘Tales of Victory over Self’, and were inspired to express themselves through creative writing. Cultural performances and traditional craftsmanship further enriched the visit, making it a memorable learning experience that strengthened students’ love for reading and appreciation of India’s heritage.
