Reimagining Teaching and Learning: Lessons from Bett UK 2026
Salwan Public School was represented at Bett UK 2026, the world’s premier education technology exhibition, by Ms Priyanka Barara, Principal, and Mr Deepak Bablani, IT Head. The global platform offered valuable exposure to emerging trends in AI, pedagogy, digital safety, and future-ready classrooms.
Day 1 featured immersive sessions on AI usage and policy, design thinking, and language-model–based software. A key takeaway from expert discussions was that AI is most effective when used for specific tasks and guided by human judgment, rather than as a one-size-fits-all solution. Sessions also explored Canva for classrooms, changing teacher roles, critical thinking in the AI age, BYOD practices, safeguarding children online, and generative AI concerns. The team engaged with demonstrations of interactive flat panels, curved displays, AI-based training tools, and modern school furniture.
Day 2 highlighted the power of blending strong pedagogy with purposeful technology, featuring sessions on Shakespearean curriculum, reading engagement, early STEM learning, digital assessment, inclusive education, and AI-driven safeguarding. The key highlight was educational software focused on peer learning and problem-solving.
The final day emphasised ethical leadership, digital literacy, student well-being, and virtue-led decision-making in times of technological pressure. Demonstrations of AR/VR tools, E-sports platforms, assistive technologies, and innovative learning solutions further enriched the experience.
Bett UK 2026 reinforced the commitment of educationists to responsible innovation, student safety, and human-centred education.
