From Plastic Waste to Purpose: Students Champion a Sustainable Future

In a commendable demonstration of environmental stewardship and collective responsibility, the students and Eco Club of our school have transformed a simple act of recycling into a meaningful movement for sustainability. During July and August 2026, the students successfully collected more than 250 kg of dry and clean plastic waste, reflecting their unwavering commitment to responsible waste management and the preservation of our natural environment.

The collected plastic waste was donated as part of the Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling and Sustainability 2026, under the ICPE Plastics Recycling Warriors Contest 2026. The initiative was organised by the Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment (ICPE) in association with IPCA, a Swachhta Knowledge Partner to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and an expert advisor to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The initiative exemplifies the power of purposeful student action, which is a powerful reminder that when awareness translates into action, even waste can become a catalyst for change.
