Diwali Celebrations

Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar celebrated the festival of lights, Diwali, with great joy and enthusiasm. The celebration began with a special assembly that included the chanting of sacred hymns invoking Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Rama. A devotional Ram Stuti and a graceful dance performance conveyed the message of moving from darkness to light and from despair to hope.

The event emphasised the importance of celebrating an eco-friendly Diwali, promoting cleanliness, simplicity, service, and compassion for the underprivileged. Students and teachers together pledged to celebrate Diwali with harmony and a sense of responsibility. The Principal’s inspiring address added meaning and motivation to the celebration.

Students from different classes showcased their creativity through various activities. Class VI students crafted beautiful water lamps. Class VII displayed colourful Kolam designs and Kirigami art. Class VIII demonstrated the art of making sweets using simple techniques.

As a gesture of appreciation, gifts were presented to the school’s support staff for their dedicated service. The Salwan family extended warm Diwali greetings to everyone, spreading the message of light, love, and harmony.
