Salwan Public School hosted the Golden Jubilee Reunion of the illustrious Batch of 1976, welcoming around 47 alumni along with six of their beloved teachers for a heartwarming day of nostalgia and reconnection.

The event began with a special school tour as alumni walked through familiar corridors, classrooms, and spaces that had shaped their formative years. Every corner resonated with laughter, stories, and fond recollections.

The programme featured an inspiring address by distinguished alumnus Shri Atul Bagai, who reflected on the values and strong foundation the school had instilled in its students. This was followed by an encouraging message from the Chairman, Salwan Education Trust, Shri Sushil Dutt Salwan, who appreciated the enduring bond the Batch of 1976 continues to share with their alma mater. Ms Priyanka Barara, Principal, warmly welcomed the gathering and spoke about the school’s rich legacy and the batch’s continued association with it.

A particularly memorable segment was the presentation titled “Reliving the Old Times”, thoughtfully curated by esteemed alumni Shri Ashish Nanda and Shri Sanjay Sinha. Through photographs and anecdotes, the presentation took everyone on a nostalgic journey through their school life.

Shri K. L. Rai, a respected teacher of the batch, fondly reminisced about the vibrant personalities of his students and shared touching memories from their school days. The teachers extended their blessings and recalled the spirited nature of their students. In a moving gesture, the alumni felicitated their teachers as a mark of deep respect and gratitude. The school management was also honoured for facilitating this meaningful reconnection after five decades. As a token of remembrance, mementos were presented to both alumni and teachers, commemorating this special Golden Jubilee milestone.

Adding to the charm of the celebration, the School Band presented a soulful medley of old melodies that struck an emotional chord with the gathering. The batch later came together for a joyful group photograph and a delightful high tea. Alumni also shared their reflections through video bytes and heartfelt messages on the Gratitude Tree. The Photo Booth corner, complete with fun props, became a lively space filled with laughter and snapshots of rekindled friendships. As a gesture of appreciation, the school presented the alumni with thoughtfully curated goodie bags.

The reunion was not merely a gathering, but a celebration of legacy, enduring friendships, and the timeless spirit of Salwan Public School.
