Inspiring Session on Careers in Armed Forces – Alumnus Commander Navneet Nagi (Retd.)

Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar, had the honour of welcoming Commander Navneet Nagi (Retd.), a distinguished alumnus from the Batch of 1993, for an engaging and motivational session with the students of Class VIII on ‘Careers in the Armed Forces’. The event was a heartfelt homecoming, celebrating both personal achievement and the enduring legacy of the school.

Commander Nagi, a decorated submariner and accomplished athlete, is a Full Ironman triathlete, SCUBA diver, swimmer, and mountaineer. He conducted an interactive session on ‘Career in the Armed Forces’, and shared invaluable insights from his naval career, emphasising perseverance, leadership, and the importance of pushing one’s limits. His words deeply resonated with the students, inspiring them to consider a future of service and dedication.

The session began with a warm welcome by Principal Ms. Priyanka Barara, who extended the traditional green welcome, symbolising growth, sustainability, and lifelong connection. A lively Q&A segment followed Commander Nagi’s talk, wherein students asked insightful questions about naval life, training, and importance of time management. His responses offered both guidance and encouragement, leaving a lasting impact on the young minds.

Vice Principal Ms. Jyotsna Grover moved the vote of thanks and presented a memento as a token of appreciation. The memorable event reinforced the idea that the true legacy of a school lies in the lives of those it shapes — and in their return to inspire the next generation.
