International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Embracing Differences, Celebrating Abilities
To honour the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Salwan Public School organised several activities on 3 December 2025, that encouraged students to see the world through diverse lenses and recognise the beauty of inclusion.
Students from classes VI to X participated enthusiastically. Through Poster Making, they painted powerful messages of accessibility, dignity, and respect. At the Wall for Inclusion, students pasted heartfelt pledges – simple promises of kindness, understanding, and peer support.
A hands-on experience came through the One-Hand Buttoning Activity, where students momentarily stepped into the shoes of individuals who navigate everyday motor challenges with courage and resilience. Adding a lively twist to the day were the Frog Jump and Backward Races, fun-filled tasks that promoted teamwork while nurturing sensitivity towards varied physical challenges.
By the end of the celebration, students realised that inclusion is more than a concept. It is a shared responsibility and a collective heartbeat that binds a community together. The observance strengthened our school’s commitment to creating a compassionate, accepting, and truly inclusive environment for every learner.
