Nukkad Natak on Waste Management
The students of Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar (Classes VIII & IX) participated in a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak on Waste Management on the streets of Rajendra Nagar to spread awareness among the masses. With rhythmic claps, handmade placards, and powerful dialogues, they raised concerns that often go unnoticed – why are plastics choking our drains, why can’t we separate wet and dry waste at home, and why do we expect others to clean when it is our duty too?
The performance shed light on the hazards of plastic pollution and careless waste disposal, while instilling hope that small, mindful steps at home can lead to a cleaner and healthier nation. One young performer expressed, “We didn’t just act—we lived the message. If India has to be clean, it must start with us.” The impactful act touched parents, teachers, and local residents, many of whom admitted it made them reflect on their own daily habits.
The initiative concluded with a collective pledge to say NO to plastic and embrace responsible waste management.
