Empowering Minds: Gender Sensitivity Workshop

Salwan Public School organized a Gender Sensitivity Workshop for Class VIII on 22 April 2025 in collaboration with Pratisandhi, aiming to promote awareness around puberty, consent, gender identity, and emotional well-being.

The session featured expert facilitators including Alvin, Khyati, Dr. Kaavya Sreedhar, Aaryaman Singh, and Sanah Shrivastav. Through interactive activities, open discussions, and safe space protocols, students explored topics like menstrual health, body boundaries, and respecting diversity.

The event encouraged safe, judgment-free expression; promoted empathy and body positivity; addressed myths and taboos with scientific clarity; helped students develop respectful peer relationships.

The workshop was a valuable step towards building empathy, awareness, and respect among young adolescents and leaving them better informed and more confident to navigate adolescence with sensitivity and self-awareness.
