Visit to Plastic Vikalp Mela

A three-day fair to promote the alternatives to single-use plastic was organised by the Delhi Government at Thyagraj Stadium. 12 students from classes VII and VIII (Morning & Afternoon) along with two teachers attended the Plastic Vikalp Mela on 2^nd July 2022.

Students learnt about a variety of eco-friendly options for plastics like bamboo, stubble, birch wood, jute, clayey soil, etc. A number of stalls in the event showcased products that are made by recycling and reusing single-use plastic products, some of which can be easily made by the students. The students also interacted with entrepreneurs/ SHGs/ traders/ manufacturers/ representatives of various institutions etc. who are involved in the supply chain and production of environmentally safe products.
