Workshop on Fostering Children’s Self-Esteem and Development

Salwan Public School, Rajendra Nagar organised a workshop for the parents of Class VI students, led by the school counsellor. The session focused on fostering children’s self-esteem, and understanding their academic and psychological development.

The workshop shed light on how different parenting styles influence a child’s self-concept, emphasizing the importance of supportive communication in nurturing a child’s emotional well-being. Parents were introduced to practical strategies such as active listening, positive reinforcement, and setting realistic expectations to strengthen their role in their children’s growth journey.

The session aimed at empowering parents with effective tools and techniques to guide their children towards a healthy self-image, as well as balanced emotional and academic development. The interactive discussion helped reinforce the idea that a nurturing home environment plays a crucial role in shaping confident and resilient individuals.
