Empathy

Education at Salwan reaches far beyond the classroom. With over 200 events a year, our co-curricular life — sport, houses, service, STEAM, and student leadership — is where character takes shape and every child discovers a passion to call their own.

Sport at Salwan teaches resilience, fairness, and the joy of playing for something larger than oneself. From the morning drill to inter-house finals — and our flagship inter-school festival, Spardha — every student is encouraged to move, compete, and grow. Our athletes are Zonal Athletics Champions for 2024-25.
“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”
Salwan Public School house system is a traditional and effective way to enhance student engagement and foster a sense of community. This system helps nurture the spirit of camaraderie, solidarity, competitiveness, leadership, teamwork, zeal and enthusiasm among students.
Each student from Class I to XII is assigned to a house, ensuring diversity and inclusivity at every turn, and is gradually introduced to the ethos of the institution, that are instilled in each Salwanian to become true global ambassadors of the future.

Our founding motto is a living practice. Through SEWA initiatives, environmental drives, and outreach with neighbouring communities, students learn that education carries a responsibility to give back.
Eco Club campaigns, e-waste collections, Plastic-Free drives, and the Desh Aur Hum civic programme give young people first-hand experience of leading change — and the quiet pride of putting collective good ahead of personal gain.
Salwan Public School was represented at Bett UK 2026, the world’s premier education technology exhibition, by Ms Priyanka Barara, Principal, and Mr Deepak Bablani, IT Head. The global platform offered valuable exposure to emerging trends in AI, pedagogy, digital safety, and future-ready classrooms.

Our STEAM programme breaks down the walls between subjects. Students design, build, and create — moving fluidly between the lab, the studio, and the workshop.
Hands-on investigation in well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs, where curiosity leads the lesson.
Modern computer labs, robotics kits, and a coding curriculum that turns ideas into working prototypes.
Maker challenges and design-thinking projects that ask students to build, test, and refine real solutions.
Visual and performing arts woven together with applied mathematics — because creativity and logic grow together.
Leadership at Salwan is earned through responsibility, not title. Students take charge of initiatives, mentor their juniors, and represent their peers — discovering the confidence to lead with empathy.
Elected representatives who voice student perspectives, organise initiatives, and steward the school's everyday life.
Houses spanning Nursery to Class XII compete and collaborate across sport, culture, and service — building belonging and healthy rivalry.
Senior students model responsibility, mentor juniors, and uphold the values that define the Salwan community.
Peers who lead SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) drives and outreach, turning “Service Before Self” into action beyond the classroom.
