Community
Many stories. One Salwan.
A Salwan education does not end at graduation, and it does not belong to any single person. It is a lifelong community — students and parents, faculty and alumni — bound together by a shared belief in learning, character, and service to others.
Four circles, one family — each with a place in the Salwan story.

Students
At the heart of Salwan is the student — curious, spirited, and full of promise. From the first day of Montessori to the final assembly of Class XII, every learner is part of a house, a cohort, and a circle of friends who become family. Here, achievement is celebrated, effort is honoured, and every child finds a stage to call their own.
- House system that builds belonging and friendly rivalry
- Student councils and leadership roles across every wing
- Clubs, teams, and societies for every interest

Parents
A child's education is a partnership, and Salwan parents are partners in the truest sense. Through orientation programmes and parent workshops, regular parent-teacher interactions, and open communication, families stay close to the journey — sharing in milestones, shaping the school's culture, and standing alongside their children every step of the way.
- Regular parent-teacher interactions and progress reviews
- Orientation programmes and parent workshops
- Open, transparent communication with families

Faculty
Behind every confident learner is a teacher who believed in them first. The Salwan faculty are mentors, scholars, and lifelong learners themselves — committed to continuous growth, collaborative practice, and the quiet, daily work of bringing out the best in every child. Their dedication is the steady current beneath everything we do.
- Ongoing professional development and training
- Collaborative, research-informed teaching practice
- Mentors who know each student by name

Alumni
Once a Salwanian, always a Salwanian. Through SPOSA — the Salwan Public Old Students Association — our alumni carry the spirit of “Service Before Self” into every corner of the world. Alumni include an Indian Forest Service officer, an Order of the British Empire (OBE) recipient, and leaders in the Armed Forces. Through reunions, mentorship, and the alumni network, they stay woven into the story they helped write.

“Salwan didn’t just teach me how to think — it taught me how to belong, how to lead, and how to give back. Decades later, it still feels like home.”

A community of belonging
Every Salwanian — past or present, young or seasoned — has a standing invitation to stay involved. Whether mentoring a student, volunteering at an event, or simply returning for a reunion, the door is always open.

A community of service
From SEWA drives to alumni-led initiatives, our community turns learning into action — living the school motto, “Service Before Self,” well beyond the campus gates.
