Class Orientation Programmes 2025: Fostering Strong School-Parent Partnerships

Salwan Public School conducted a comprehensive series of orientation programmes from March to April 2025, catering to parents from Nursery to Class XII. These sessions aimed to foster a strong partnership between school and home, offering clarity on academic structures, evolving pedagogical practices under NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, and the school’s vision for holistic education. Each session opened with a warm welcome by Principal Ms. Priyanka Barara, who reiterated the importance of consistent parental engagement, student well-being, responsible digital use, and time management. Vice Principal Ms. Jyotsna Grover and Headmistress Ms. Rashi Oberoi presented detailed academic frameworks, assessment patterns, and co-curricular planning. Ms. Shobha Banerjee introduced ASPAC—the After School Performing Arts and Culture programme—which provides a platform for nurturing creativity. The orientation programmes for senior classes, including IX, X, XI, and XII, placed special focus on competency-based assessments and the revised CBSE exam format. Parents appreciated cultural performances, including Ganesh Vandana and vibrant ASPAC dance presentations.
