NAVTIKA
A Journal of Early Childhood Care and Education
We are proud to be the only school in India to publish a journal of Early Childhood Care and Education — a practical guide for teachers, parents and caregivers of children aged 3–8.

About NAVTIKA
NAVTIKA is a journal that serves as a practical guide for teachers, parents and other caregivers who nurture children in the foundational years, from three to eight years. It seeks to inform, deepen knowledge and address parental concerns, empowering them to deliver better care.
The journal publishes original work based on standards of excellence and expert opinions. We are proud to be the only school in India to publish a Journal of Early Childhood Care and Education.
NAVTIKA is a publication of the Salwan Education Trust and appears once every four months. The current issue, Vol. XVII No. 1 (August – November 2026), takes up The Fourth Estate of Childhood: Voice, Choice and Advocacy in Early Childhood Learning, with articles on child-led play, group discussion and circle time as democratic pedagogy, an expert corner on why early childhood care and education is India’s most strategic investment, a book review and a parents’ perspective.
